Summary
Grant program is currently available to support licensed early learning and child care providers in enhancing the accessibility and inclusivity of their existing facilities. The initiative aims to create environments where all children can thrive, particularly those from diverse cultural, social, or linguistic backgrounds.
Eligible applicants may receive funding to undertake infrastructure improvements or acquire resources that promote inclusion. Approved projects can receive funds in two installments: half upfront to commence work and the remainder upon project completion and final reporting. The program has committed a maximum of $15 million over two years to support these initiatives.
To qualify, applicants must be existing licensed child care providers, including non-profit and private daycare facilities, preschools, and family day home agencies. Out-of-school care programs are not eligible for this funding. The grant is intended for improvements to existing facilities and cannot be used for new spaces or expansions.
