Summary

A funding opportunity is currently available to support community-driven projects focused on youth education and gender equity. These grants are intended to assist organizations working with young people to foster respect, inclusivity, and positive identity development.

Emphasis is placed on initiatives that incorporate cultural learning, self-esteem building, and the prevention of gender-based violence through education and empowerment. The goal is to encourage healthier relationships and challenge harmful norms in a constructive, community-centered way.

This opportunity is open exclusively to registered nonprofit organizations operating within Canada. Priority is given to groups that are Indigenous-led or working directly with Indigenous youth, particularly those using culturally grounded approaches to promote healing, gender identity, and leadership. Programs that demonstrate collaboration, innovation, and long-term community benefit are especially encouraged to apply.

Grants are available in two tiers: first-time recipients may apply for up to $15,000 for a one-year project, while organizations with an established history of impactful work may be eligible for up to $50,000. Additional funding may be considered for those seeking to expand upon previously supported projects that have shown meaningful outcomes.

There are no fixed deadlines for submission, as applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year. Funding decisions are typically made every six weeks, allowing for flexible and timely support of initiatives. These grants are awarded annually and can be used to support educational programs, community engagement efforts, and culturally relevant resources designed to improve the well-being of youth.

This opportunity is ideal for nonprofits aiming to create a positive shift in gender dynamics within their communities, especially through education and cultural revitalization. While not available to individuals or businesses, the grants provide significant support to eligible organizations committed to making a lasting impact.
